It all began in 2000, millennium year, when we (Paul and Monique) decided to begin a new adventure in Albir, Spain. We already had a successful restaurant in Zandvoort, Holland. But after 10 years we wanted to start over and that's when we fell in love with a little place in Alfaz del Pí, called Albir. 

 

   We decided to decorated the restaurant in a style very close to the family, the ballet and theatre style. Because before Monique entered the restaurant business, she was a profesional prima bailarina, since then she has always felt the need to take that time of her life with her and reflect it in all the other things she does now.

   Also a curious fact to know about the restaurant is why we decided to call the restaurant It's a Small World. And that's because of two things:

   Because when you live in the ballet world you find out that it's a world where everybody knows everybody and that's because it's difficult to enter that world and even harder to stay in it. 

 

    And because when you travel in life the most curious thing always happens (i'm sure it has happened to you as well) that even when you're at the other side of the world, you always find a familiar face wherever you are, and that's because in the end we all live in a small world.
